UICS is a multi-layered software platform developed in-house by IT Drone and Software Services Ltd. The Problem UICS Solves Modern drone technology has transformed aerial reconnaissance. A drone operator in the field can see everything. But that intelligence has traditionally remained locked inside the controller screen of the pilot — invisible to the incident commander a mile away, unknown to the paramedic team approaching from the east, inaccessible to the strategic commander reviewing the situation from headquarters. From the moment a drone becomes airborne, every authorised stakeholder — regardless of location or device — gains access to the same live operational picture. Key Capabilities 1. Real-Time Multi-Device Streaming UICS delivers live drone video feeds simultaneously to Force Control Rooms, field commanders on tablets, mobile data terminals (MDTs) in vehicles, and partner agency screens — all over secure, encrypted channels. The platform supports H.265 encoding at 720p to 1080p resolution with a minimum transmission capacity of 5 Mbps, ensuring fluid, reliable video even in challenging network conditions. 2. AI-Powered Video Analysis Live footage is processed in real time by UICS's AI analysis engine. The system can identify and flag persons, vehicles, fire perimeters, crowd density changes and potential hazards — reducing the cognitive load on human operators and ensuring critical events are never missed in a busy visual feed. 3. Drone Telemetry Integration UICS captures and displays full drone telemetry data alongside the video feed — altitude, GPS position, battery status, heading and speed. Commanders can see not just what the drone sees, but precisely where it is and how long it can remain on station, enabling proactive operational decisions rather than reactive ones. 4. UICS Bridge — Mobile OCR Telemetry Capture The UICS Bridge is a companion Android application that runs alongside any existing drone control application. Using Google ML Kit OCR technology, UICS Bridge reads telemetry data directly from the drone controller screen in real time and transmits it to the UICS platform via SignalR — with zero modification required to the drone hardware or manufacturer software. This makes UICS compatible with virtually any professional drone system on the market today, including DJI, Autel and Skydio platforms. 5. Multi-Agency Access & SSO Integration UICS is designed for multi-agency environments. Through Azure Active Directory Single Sign-On integration, partner agencies — Fire, Ambulance, Coastguard, Police — can be granted access in seconds. Each downlink supports a minimum of five concurrent users, with nine independent downlink channels available as standard. 6. Secure 30-Day Storage All footage and telemetry data is stored securely in UK-based infrastructure for a minimum of 30 days, supporting post-incident review, evidence management and operational learning without reliance on physical media or fragile local storage. Built on Enterprise-Grade Architecture UICS is not a prototype or a proof of concept.
